Cumberland Liberal Democrats were honoured to receive a highly motivating talk by the former Leeds West Lib Dem MP at our annual dinner.

Michael has a continuing celebrated career in politics. In the past, he has chaired the Electoral Reform Society, authored numerous books and pamphlets on Liberalism and other Liberal Democrat subjects, and has travelled extensively in Europe giving support to democratic movements.

Cumberland Liberal Democrats were proud to host Lib Dem members from Northumberland and Westmorland & Furness at the event.

The event proved to be a useful fundraiser for the local party and an excellent opportunity to meet face-to-face and discuss the challenges we face in local politics.
